Grinding Machines

Hydratight (formerly known as Hydratight DL Ricci) provides a variety of portable grinding machines. The Oval Manway Seat Grinder restores corroded, pitted, abraded and leaking manway gasket seat surfaces. The Hand Hole Grinder works to repair existing, worn and leaking hand hole surfaces.

Power Supply Units

The Hydratight line of portable hydraulic power supplies incorporate robust engineering in a compact footprint. The range includes both electric and diesel drive options. Each unit is equipped with performance minded features, designed for safety and engineered to perform even in the harshest conditions.

Electric Power Supplies

At the heart of the 10HP and 20HP electric power supplies is an internal reservoir mounted electric drive motor. This unique design reduces the overall dimensions, which translates to increased on-site portability. The units are also equipped with an air-to-oil heat exchanger. This feature helps maintain oil temperature during long use cycles and reduces the total oil needed for operation.  Each unit is equipped with a remote electrical pendant that controls both hydraulic flow rate and direction. The pendant is UL/CUL-listed NEMA 4 rated, making it ideal for most weather conditions. With a final salute to performance, each machine has a variable frequency drive installed to maintain flow rates regardless of load changes. This assures constant speed of operation.

Diesel Power Supply

The 26HP diesel has some of the same functionality as its electric counterparts. The 26HP motor and assemblies are skid mounted to assure a rugged stance during operation. As with the electric version, the diesel power source has a large capacity cooler for long cycles. Remote pendant controls are included as a standard for safe operation of the power unit from a remote position.

Shaft Machining & Taper Turning

The MS-JTL combines the best features from our patented Midsize (MS) Clamshell and the field-proven and patented journal turning lathe (JTL) to give a precision machining tool that performs accurate and consistent machining of bearing journals and other round surfaces. Designed for larger diameter shaft refurbishment (4" to 36.5") the MS-JTL has two feed screws for parallel motion. This results in smoother journal turning and more accuracy. The lightweight design and fully adjustable locators means easy setup of this shaft refurbishment machine.

The unique split frame design of the MS-JTL allows it to clamp over the existing shaft, enhancing setup options. The MS-JTL can be positioned in tight onsite machining areas that need precision machining with minimal operating clearance required. A two-speed gearbox driven by an electric servo allows for fast setup and smooth surface finishes. Accurate cutting tolerances and exacting surface finishes are achieved through the rigid bearing system and the rugged design of this precision machining system. This hybrid portable lathe machine can be powered by Hydraulic, Pneumatic or Electric power and comes complete with everything you’ll need to turn shafts for almost any OD turning application.

Portable Boring Bars

Hydratight’s range of machines represents the world’s most advanced technology for on-site boring capability, incorporating leading engineering and cutting edge features for safe, reliable and accurate cutting. The series (formerly known as the Boremaster series) is comprised of six machines that cover an impressive 1.5" to 64”(38mm-1625.6mm) diameter boring range standard with up to 96” (2438mm) optional. The assortment includes both push-pull and screw driven feed types. These two styles cover an expanded range of on-site boring applications including mining and construction equipment, turbine machinery, hydroelectric power and ship building.

Ridged Feed Screw Machines

The ridged feed screw driven portable line boring machines are capable of boring from 6" to 64” (152mm-1625.6mm) in diameter. Custom boring/facing heads are available up to 96” (2438mm) and bar lengths up to 24ft (7.3m). A unique coupling arrangement is available for easy extension to meet special length requirements. This proven design allows the support bearings to be securely attached to the boring bar providing a rigid vibration-free set-up.

Push-Pull Machines

The push-pull machines are capable of on-site repairs from 1.5" to 24" (38mm – 609.6mm) in diameter. They are rugged, compact, easy to use and affordable. Their rigid and operator friendly design enables an inexperienced operator to machine a smooth accurate bore with the same precision as an experienced veteran.
